Joseph L. Hoffmann, 93, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Hoffmann of Manchester; five children, Sam (Mary Lou) Hoffmann of Durango, Colo., Ann Hoffmann of Phoenix, Ariz., Dr. Michael Hoffmann of Durango, Colo., Jim (Nikki) Hoffmann of Durango, Colo., and Mary (Hardy) Laskin of Phoenix, Ariz.; three stepgrandchildren, Judith (Frank) Wilkins of Cedar Rapids, and Cheryl Voelker and Richard (JoAnn) Hartman, all of Manchester; three grandchildren, Aiden Hoffmann and Hannah and Sara Laskin; 12 stepgrandchildren; 32 stepgreat-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Gib (Maureen) Hoffmann of Manchester and Robert (Elaine) Hoffmann of Guttenberg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Good Neighbor Home or First Lutheran Church.

Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, at First Lutheran Church, Manchester, Iowa, with the Rev. Tony D. Ede officiating.
Visitation: 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 6, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Interment with military rites: Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Ryan, Iowa.
