RoughRiders’ Kuster wins USHL honor

CEDAR RAPIDS - Clark Kuster of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders was honored Monday as United States Hockey League Defenseman of the Week, the league announced.
Kuster had four assists and posted a plus-minus rating of plus two in a pair of wins last weekend at Chicago and Green Bay. Kuster, 19, also was part of a penalty killing unit that killed off eight power plays in those games.
The RoughRiders (9-1) are a perfect 20 for 20 killing penalties in their past five games.
Brock Boeser of the Waterloo Black Hawks was named USHL Forward of the Week. The Goaltender of the Week was Jacob Nehama of the Dubuque Fighting Saints.
