CEDAR RAPIDS - Aaron Thow of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders is the United States Hockey League's Defenseman of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Thow, 19, played his first two games as a RoughRider this past weekend, scoring a goal and four points in a pair of wins over Muskegon. The East York, Ontario, resident was a first-round pick of Cedar Rapids in the 2014 USHL Draft Phase Two.
He is a Clarkson University commit.
Dubuque's Brett Boeing was named USHL Forward of the Week. The Goaltender of the Week is Waterloo's Hayden Lavigne.
