Students at Currier, Mayflower residence halls face drug charges

University of Iowa police nabbed eight students in Currier Residence Hall and three students in Mayflower Residence Hall on various drug-related charges Monday.
The charges included unlawful possession of prescription drugs, possession of a controlled substance and, for one student, possession of burglary tools. Most of the charges involved possession of prescription pills or marijuana.
Police charged the students in the two UI residence halls between 8:40 and 11:16 p.m. last night, according to UI police reports.
