Jeffrey Dean Jones, 58, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at his home. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jones of Cedar Rapids; children, Taylor Jones of Cedar Rapids, Brandy (Jason) Murphey of Cedar Rapids and Jim Wilson of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren; siblings, Jesse (Jeanne) Jones of Cedar Rapids, Diane (Kenny) Mann of Moore, Okla., and Debbie (Rob) Havlicek of Cedar Rapids; stepmother, Mary Jones of Cedar Rapids; and stepsiblings, Lynn Mullin of Cedar Rapids, Scott Mullin of Cedar Rapids and Mark Mullin of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Brad McDowell.
Jeffrey was born Oct. 2, 1956, the son of William and June Jones in Cedar Rapids. On July 3, 1993, he married Mary Dvorak. Jeffrey worked as a maintenance supervisor for J.B. Hunt Transport Inc. for 14 years. He was a loving father, stepfather and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family and friends and his beloved pets. He will be greatly missed by all.
