Going, going...gone: Indiana's Lonnie Johnson sprints down the sideline en
route to scoring the winning touchdown in the Hoosier's 30-26 victory over
Iowa at Kinnick Stadium Saturday. Johnson took the pass from quarterback
Tim Clifford and outran several Hawkeye defenders
(including Bob Stoops #41, left) on the scoring play which came with only 58
seconds remaining in the game. Johnson had five catches for 123 yards in the
game. "Bobby" Stoops, who played at Iowa from 1979-1982, would become
the Oklahoma Sooners head coach in 1999. This game was the first for new
head coach Hayden Fry at Iowa. The Hawkeyes blew a 26-3 first half lead.
The Hoosiers were coached by Lee Corso. Photo September 8, 1979.
