Christopher W. Stark Jr., 50, of Iowa City, formerly of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Chris was born April 17, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Christopher William Stark Sr. and Kathryn Kay Starr. Chris loved the outdoors and to go fishing. He was passionate about his music and was known to spend much time listening to his favorite albums. He also enjoyed cooking, especially for his family, which was always a big treat for him. His biggest pride were his children and his granddaughter, Adelynn.
Survivors include his mother, Kathy (John) Bailey; his daughter, Amber (Matt) Tielebein; granddaughter, Adelynn; a son, Zach; stepbrother, Brian Bailey; stepsister, Lynn (Tim) Freand; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Chris Sr., and three sisters, Melinda, Sonya and Gwen.
A Celebration of Life service will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Amber and Matt's home, 4210 Windemere Way, Marion, IA 52302.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christopher W. Stark Jr. Memorial Fund and may be mailed to Amber's home.
