Barbara O. Wallick, 93, formerly of Mechanicsville, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at Prairie Hills Assisted
Living Center, Tipton. There will be no services at this time; a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Barbara chose to be cremated. Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, is in charge of arrangements.
Barbara was born Aug. 7, 1921, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Everett L. and Gladys E. Miller Ferguson. She was a graduate of Mechanicsville High School as well as Coe College, Cedar Rapids, where she earned a B.A. degree. Barbara was a teacher and a homemaker.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Chris (Glen) Weber of Mechanicsville, Claudia Wallick of West Branch and Elisa Wallick of Iowa City; son, Kermit (Kay) Wallick of Mechanicsville; grandchildren, Anthony Dalrymple, Heather Haffner, Donald Cosgrove, David Cosgrove, Jennifer Dixon and Nicole Mack; great-grand- children, Summer Cosgrove, Kiowa Cosgrove, Dakota Hoffman and Kaylee Terlisner; sister-in-law, Cleo Ferguson of Tipton; and brother, David (Dorothy) Ferguson of Mechanicsville.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Richard and Walter Ferguson; sister-in-law, Loretta Ferguson; and great-grandchild, Dillon Flockhart.
