Shea, William L. 'Bill'
William L. “Bill” Shea, 81, of Manchester, died at his residence on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011. Mass of Resurrection: 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester, with the Rev. John Flaherty officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, with a Scripture service at 3 p.m. Inurnment, with military rites: 4 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Wadena.
Survivors include his four children, Tom Shea of Elkader, Sue (Dave) Schulte of Manchester, Ron (Deb Schroeder) Shea of Elkader and Julie (Jim Holt) Bente of Wadena; his grandchildren, Steve Knipper, Shane Knipper (fiancee, Breanne Baltzer), Tom Shea Jr., Jennifer (Brandon) Zabel and Nick Bente; stepgrandchildren, Jeremy Schulte, Amy (Ben) Reck and Nick Schulte; great-grandchildren, Ryan Shea, Morgan Shea, Chase Shea, McKenzie Shea and Jordan Zabel; stepgreat-grandchildren, Hunter Schulte, Riley Reck, Owen Reck and Gavin Reck; one brother, Gene (Mary) Shea of Waverly; and “his little Buddy.”
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Emegene Shea on June 28, 2008; his son, Bill Jr. in 2010; and two granddaughters, Stephanie Shea and Sharon Knipper.
