Annabelle Klenk, 78, of Brooklyn, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center, Grinnell. Funeral Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, Grace United Methodist Church, Brooklyn, with the Rev. John Dodds officiating. Burial: Rector Cemetery, rural Chelsea, Iowa. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be contributed to Grace United Methodist Church or the BGM Citizens Scholarship Fund.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Klenk-Morgan (Scott) of Eagle Lake, Minn., and Marcia Owens (Greg) of Glenview, Ill.; five grandchildren, Garrigan and Simon Morgan of Eagle Lake and Emma, Madison and Chase Owens of Glenview; and a brother, Ron Kajer (Linda) of Toledo.
Also surviving are three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kajer, Marlene Crabtree and Lillian Ryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Beulah Hand Kajer; her husband, Lilburn Wayne Klenk in 1996; two brothers, Fred and Alfred Kajer; a sister, Debbie in infancy; and two brothers-in-law, Hillis Klenk and Jim Ryan.
