UI Spokesman: Mason attended Big Ten meeting in Washington

University of Iowa President Sally Mason attended a Big Ten meeting last weekend in Washington D.C. where possible league expansion plans were discussed.
UI Spokesman Tom Moore said Tuesday morning Mason was the only UI official to attend the meeting. Moore said Mason would not comment about the nature of the meeting.
"All inquiries regarding the subject need to be referred to Jim Delany, commissioner of the Big Ten Conference," Moore said.
Delany and other college athletics officials are meeting today in Arizona to discuss the Bowl Championship Series. It's likely Big Ten expansion plans will receive heavy conversation as well.
