WBB: Cornell, Kirkwood and UNI all win

CORNELL 80, KNOX 60
Camille Marie and Taylor Dicus provided the strong 1-2 punch Tuesday night as Cornell stayed perfect this season in women's basketball with an 80-60 Midwest Conference victory over Knox at Galesburg, Ill.
Marie scored 24 points for the Rams (6-0, 2-0 MWC), and Dicus added 17 on 8-of-10 shooting. They had nine and eight rebounds respectively. Maggie Hogen scored 11 points, and Kathryn Schilling led the team with 10 rebounds.
The Rams, who led 40-32 at halftime, enjoyed a 61-37 edge on the backboards. They survived a 28-turnover game, partly because
Jodi Marver scored 14 points for Knox (1-5, 1-3).
KIRKWOOD 82, ELLSWORTH 37
Kirkwood overwhelmed Ellsworth with a 52-point second half at Iowa Falls in an ICCAC opener.
After leading 30-19 at the break, the Eagles show 55 percent in the second half while improving to 8-2 overall.
Thirteen Kirkwood players got in the scoring column, led by 11 points from Kiana Jacobs.
Next for the Eagles is a date Saturday against 12-0 Iowa Western in Council Bluffs.
UNI 81, CHICAGO STATE 41
Hannah Schonhardt and Jacqui Kalin scored 13 points apiece in a nonconferernce rout for the Panthers at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls.
Amber Kirschbaum posted 12 points and 11 rebounds.
