Smith heads a Lions squad that entered the weekend ranked No. 1 in The Predicament's Class 1A dual rankings and finished fourth in the 32-team Battle of Waterloo.
Simmons will be inducted into the NCAA Division III Hall of Fame in 2016 for his work as the Division III championships director, a title he will hold again Cornell hosts the national tournament at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids in March.
