Blue Zones Project to host worksite summit for local businesses

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA, August 21, 2013 – The Blue Zones Project™ in Cedar Rapids will hold their first Worksite Summit on Wednesday, August 28 in the Hallagan Education Center at Mercy Medical Center. More than 25 local companies will be in attendance. The event will be focused on introducing the process of becoming a designated Blue Zones Worksite™ to area leaders and businesses.
The Blue Zones Project team will be on hand to assist worksites in registering their business, assessing their worksite, and building an action plan for working towards Blue Zones Worksite designation that fits their unique work environment. Working towards Blue Zones Worksite status will help in creating healthy and sustainable work environments that support the well-being of employees and their families, and contributes to overall community transformation.
