Alberta L. McMahon, 58, of Cedar Rapids, passed away at her home after fighting her long battle with cancer on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018.
She was born on Nov. 22, 1959, and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Alberta was a beautiful person inside and out; she was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her husband (best friend), children, grandkids and all her family and friends. She was always nothing but smiles, wanted nothing but the best for everyone around her. She was the best wife, mom and grandma anyone could have asked for. She had the biggest heart in the world and would do anything to help anyone. Alberta loved the Miami Dolphins. She will be forever loved and truly missed.
She was survived by her children, Stacy and Scott High, Justin, Nicole and Heather McMahon; her brother, Kevin Kesselring; her sister, Sherry McDonald; father, Melvin Kesselring Jr.; grandchildren, Jake, Kyle, Mackenzie, William, Skylar, Olin, Dylan, Krachelle and Diego; nieces, Marissa and Heidi; nephew, James; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, LaDonna Carroll; brother, Calvin Kesselring; and granddaughter, Angel McMahon.
