EILEEN KLENK Oxford Eileen M. Klenk, 88, of Amana, died peacefully with her daughter, Lori, by her side Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Colonial Manor Care Center in Amana. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 8, at Oxford United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Diane Townsley officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church. Online condolences may be sent for her family through the Web at www.gayandciha.com. Eileen Myrtle Himes was born March 12, 1927, in Waubeek, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene and Velma (Ankney) Himes. She attended and graduated from schools in Prairieburg and Coggon. On Dec. 27, 1958, she married Donald Gene Klenk at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple made their home in Middle Amana, where they raised their family and Eileen worked at a number of different jobs in Amana while Don worked for Amana Refrigeration. Eileen enjoyed playing cards, but most of all, she loved being Don's wife, mom to their children and grandma to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family includes daughters, Pam Kelly (Mike) of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Lori Ballard (Bill) of Marengo; daughter-in-law, Linda Stoakes-Daseke of Mason City; six grandchildren, Ryan Kelly (Kortney), Carrie Moore (Shaun), Kevan Kelly (Cary), Meggan Daseke (Ben Provin), Scott Ballard (Jessi) and Jeff Ballard (Shelby); as well as nine great-grandchildren, Katelynne, Lindsay, Wyatt, Garrett, Max, Troy, Trevor, Mercedes and Alyce; Eileen's brother, Terry Himes of Lake City; and sister-in-law, Barb Himes of Marion. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; son, Bob; grandson, Nicholas; granddaughter, Christine Ballard; sister, Betty Hultman; and brother, Richard Himes. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Eileen's family and her services.
