Alvin Walter Wiseman, 83, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Marengo Memorial Hospital in Marengo.
He was born Dec. 4, 1933, in Sigourney, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Hattie Wiseman. He was united in marriage to Betty Primley. To this union they were blessed with four children: Randall, Rick, Kimberly and Lori. Alvin worked various jobs, including construction, Iowa County Road Crew, custodian at the Millersburg School and was a farm hand. He enjoyed dancing, bar hopping, mushroom hunting, fishing, hunting and telling jokes.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Rick (Jolene) Wiseman, Kim Decker and Lori Wiseman; grandchildren, Becky Carmen (Michael), Ricky Wiseman Jr. (Kay), Shane Wiseman (Amanda), Devra Wiseman (Shawn), Kelly Allen (Brett), Amber Decker (Ross), Heather Estes (Kent), Jessica Cole, Karmen Gappa (Nick) and Marissa Stocks (Skyler); 18 great- grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Wiseman; a brother, Richard (Caroline) Wiseman; a brother-in-law, Clyde Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents; wife, Betty; a son, Randall Wiseman; two sisters, Pat Adams and Lela McCurdy; and a brother, Keith Wiseman.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at Hometown Café in Millersburg.
Memorials may be given in Alvin's memory to the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.
