Lori Lilleg, 59, of Iowa City, passed away at home on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018. Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. until time of the memorial services at 11 a.m. at United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery at a later date. Immediately following the memorial service, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lori Lilleg memorial fund or Iowa City Hospice. Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Lori and her family. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.
Lori was born Feb. 23, 1958, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Cleo and Shirley (Carter) Dodson. Lori was a 1976 graduate of Lone Tree High School and then graduated from cosmetology school. On Aug. 27, 1988, Lori was united in marriage to Michael Lilleg at United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church and enjoyed crafts, cross stitch, crocheting, knitting and reading. Lori was a diehard Cubs fan and cheered for the Hawkeyes, win or lose.
Lori is survived by her husband, Michael; one daughter, Jasmine (Dave Albery) of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Matthias Lilleg (Elizabeth) and Andrew Lilleg (Ying); her mother, Shirley Dodson of Lone Tree; and two brothers, Steven Dodson of Lone Tree and Kevin Dodson, and his son, Jeremy of Livermore, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cleo.
