Dundee Sr., Dean D.
Dean D. Dundee Sr., 73, of Marion, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids by Chaplain Jeremy Hudson. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Sally; his son, Dean (Angie) Dundee Jr.; six stepchildren, Ken “Bear” (Deb) Stalkfleet, Susan (Tom) Moyle, Tony Stalkfleet, Tom Stalkfleet, Sandy (Lloyd) Henderson and Debra K. Young (Boyd Strong); his sister, Dorothy Jones; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura; two stepchildren, Steven and Robert Stalkfleet; three brothers, Roland, Curtis and Duane; and a sister, Betty.
Dean was born Dec. 5, 1935, the son of John and Clara (Lawson) Dundee, in Waukon. He married Laura Behrends on June 30, 1956, in Caledonia, Minn. She died March 17, 1999. Dean later married Sally Curtis on April 5, 2003. He worked for King Concrete for 36 years.
Dean enjoyed dancing, working, traveling, gambling, gardening, spending time with grandchildren, and puttering around the garage. He enjoyed spending the winters in Arizona with Sally.
A memorial fund has been established in Dean's memory.
