ANAMOSA 46, BAXTER CMB 13 - Anamosa made quick work of Baxter CMB in a Class 2A first-round high school football playoff game Wednesday night in Anamosa.
Literally.
The Raiders (10-0) were up 46-0 with 9:05 left in the second quarter and scored 40 points in a span of less than three minutes.
Trevor Wehling scored first for Anamosa on a 31-yard run, then Daniel Husmann added an 80-yard TD run.
Jay McLean then scored on a 26-yard run on the first play from scrimmage after a CMB fumble.
A Tyler Zumbach interception led to a Kolin Schulte 2-yard TD run, then an Austin Hunt fumble recovery led to a 35-yard TD run by McLean, who later added a 64 yard TD run.
McLean finished with 139 yards and four TDs on just eight carries.
Anamosa rushed for 320 yards.

WEST DELAWARE 41, BENTON COMMUNITY 3
- Coy Roussell rushed for 214 yards and three touchdowns as the Hawks rolled to a Class 3A first-round win at home.
Roussell scored on runs of 1, 3 and 3 yards for West Delaware (10-0), which totaled 539 yards of offense and held the Bobcats (5-5) to 145.
Max Ridenour rushed for a pair of TDs (1 and 8 yards) and completed 10 of 15 passes for 169 yards, including a 36-yard TD to Sam Maloney.
Benton actually took a 3-0 lead on a Van Bartelt 24-yard field goal with 10:29 left after picking off a Ridenour pass on the opening play.

WEST BRANCH 55, COLUMBUS COMMUNITY 20
- Cooper Koenig rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns and Aaron Barnes scored a pair of TDs as the Bears improved to 10-0 with an easy Class 1A first-round win.
The West Branch first-team defense held Columbus to just 76 yards of offense over the first two-and-a-half quarters while the offense built a 48-0 lead.
Matt Shawver also scored for the Bears on a 74-yard punt return.

MONTEZUMA 21, MAQUOKETA VALLEY 13
- Junior Carson Losure rushed 38 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns as Montezuma upset district champion Maquoketa Valley in a Class A game in Delhi.
Leading 14-13 in the fourth quarter, Montezuma (7-3) turned a key fourth-and-nine play into a 25-yard touchdown pass from Logan Price to Brody McKeag with 3:04 to play.
Losure scored on runs of 14 yards in the first quarter and one yard in the third.
Maquoketa Valley (7-3) scored on a 22-yard pass from Jeremy Fischer to Kyle Wilson in the second quarter, and on a three-yard run by Fischer in the fourth. Fischer finished with 86 yards rushing, while teammate Alec McDowell gained 83.
The teams were tied 7-7 at halftime.

SOLON 17, WASHINGTON (IOWA) 14 (OT) - Brandon Childs kicked a game-winning 18-yard field goal in overtime to propel Solon in a Class 3A first round game at Washington.
Kendrick Harris scored on a 3-yard run and a 38-yard reception to account for both touchdowns for the Spartans (6-4).
Washington closes its season at 7-3.
ELKADER CENTRAL 70, TRIPOLI 20
- Aaron Hoth led the Warriors with 171 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries as Elkader Central improved to 10-0 with a first-round 8-player win at home.
NORTH FAYETTE VALLEY 49, CASCADE 14
- Dillon Baumler led all rushers with 230 yards on 18 carries and four touchdowns as the TigerHawks downed the Cougars in a Class 2A first-round matchup.
Trey Kuhens rushed 10 times for 119 yards and two scores and Trevor Hurd ran for a six-yard touchdown for North Fayette Valley.
