Lola Mardean Junge Bossler, 94, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at Keystone Nursing Care Center following an extended illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at
10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Van Horne, with Father Craig Steimel as celebrant. The casket will not be present at the church on Monday. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery near Van Horne. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone.
A memorial fund has been established.
Lola was born May 7, 1922, in Keystone to Peter N. and Hilda (Seeck) Junge. On May 21, 1941, she was united in marriage to Loren J. Bossler at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Van Horne. The couple farmed in the Van Horne area. Loren preceded her in death in 2000.
She is survived by her son, Ron (Kathy) Bossler of Vinton; her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Bossler of Aurora, Ill.; her grandsons, Troy (Meredith) Bossler of Oswego, Ill., Dr. Aaron (Jeff Sears) Bossler of Iowa City, Eric (Lynette) Bossler of Van Horne and Adam Bossler of Van Horne; her great-grandchildren, Ashley, Hannah and Garrett Bossler, Eli Bossler Sears, Morgan, Dylan, Colton and Courtney Bossler; her brother, Corley (Hazel) Junge of Keystone; her sisters, Marlys Papesh of Clutier, Betty Kapucian of Keystone, Helen Jurgens of Keystone, Mariann (Dilly) Fay of Victor, Janice (Delf) Sievers of Keystone and Shirley Peters of Keystone; and her special friend, Mary O'Brien of Van Horne.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Bossler, in 2007; and her brothers-in-law, Leonard Papesh, Louis Kapucian and Jr. Jurgens.
The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to Hospice Compassus and Keystone Care Center for the excellent care Lola received.
