Dixie Lea Wolfe-Amero, 75, of Deming, N.M., formerly of Viola, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, in Las Cruces, N.M. At her request, there will be no service. Burial will be at a later date.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford Amero; children, Theresa Siebels (Dave Kleis) of Anamosa, Gregory Wolfe (Jackie) of Cedar Rapids, Michael Wolfe (Leslie) of Anamosa and Sharon Wolfe of Cedar Rapids; brother, Gene Potter (Carol) of Camden, Ala.; half brother, David Potter of Anamosa; half sisters, Geraldine Kahler and Nancy Hainey of Vinton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Wolfe; father, Benjamin Potter; and mother, Marie Bartosh.
She was born Aug. 18, 1940, at Mercy Hospital in Anamosa to Marie and Benjamin Potter. She married Donald J. Wolfe on July 27, 1956; he died Dec. 14, 1997. She married Clifford Amero on Oct. 24, 2005.
She was employed by Collins Radio and Rockwell Collins for over 30 years. She enjoyed shopping, visiting casinos, reading cookbooks, wood carving and silversmithing.
