ILENE LEE

Ilene L. Lee 77, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A me-morial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Bethel A.M.E. Church. Following her wishes, Ilene's body has been cremated, with burial to follow at a later date.
She was born Aug. 25, 1936, to Ollie and Lottie (Hurst) Tobin in Cedar Rapids. She attended Roosevelt High School, graduating in 1955.
Ilene worked for Wilson-Sinclair for 40 years before retiring. She was an active member and Stewardess of the Bethel A.M.E. Church and numerous clubs and societies. She was an avid bowler in the 1970s through the 1990s.
Survivors include her son, Charles Stoudamire of Cedar Rapids; nieces, Connie Nesbitt, Dorene Collins and Flame Cotton; and nephews, Donald Collins, Marvin Hagen, Steven Tobin, Quincy Tobin and Justin Tobin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Lottie (Hurst) Tobin; sisters, Wanda Tobin, Beverly (Tobin) Collins and Magnolia (Hurst) Fields; brothers, Alvin Hurst, Hubert Tobin and Ollie Tobin Jr.; and aunts, Nettie (Hurst) Mills and Naomi (Tobin) Ampey.
Ilene was a loving mother, sister and aunt. She has left us with wonderful memories and we feel blessed to have had her in our lives.
