Collins, Larry Ray
Larry Ray Collins, 60, of Clarence, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, Clarence United Methodist Church with Pastor Carol Mart officiating. Inurnment will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Clarence Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence.
Survivors include his mother, Anna; sisters, Wanda (Ernie) Anderson and Joyce (Bob) Knight, all of Clarence; nieces and nephews, Keith (Terri) Knight, Kelly (Bob) Kunkel and Karla (Kevin) Tenley; eight great-nephews and nieces; and one great-great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Larry was born Oct. 24, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Charley and Anna Smith Collins. He attended the Kirwood work force in Tipton. He loved to fish, raccoon hunt, camping and his little dog, Lady.
Larry was loved by all who met him and he loved everybody he met.
