Vivian Jean Collins, 82, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Springville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at Linn Manor Care Center, Marion. Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Service: 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, David Collins of Tehachapi, Calif., Richard Collins (Brenda Lacher) of Cedar Rapids, Linda Schueler (Mark Baugh) of Cedar Rapids and Darrell Collins of Tehachapi; grandchildren, Curtis, Heather, Tia and Nick; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Kelsey and Rosella Wells; and brothers, Albert Coats and Kenneth Coats.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Charles Coats, Jeanette Crull, Norman Coats, Bob Coats and Cal Coats.
Vivian was born Feb. 10, 1935, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Fred and Thelma (Gaddie) Coats. Vivian and Richard Collins were united in marriage in Oshkosh, Wis. She was a nurse's aide for 32 years.
