Collins, Robert J. 'Bob'

Robert J. “Bob” Collins, 47, of Victor, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, from injuries suffered in an accident at his work. Family services will be held at the Marcus-Amherst Cemetery in Marcus, Iowa at a later time.

His family includes his mother, Joan Gryp; siblings, LaRae Blankenship of Cedar Rapids, Jim Collins of Victor, Donnie Collins (Deb) of Cedar Rapids, Ronnie Collins of Victor, Tony Gryp of Des Moines, Todd Gryp (Shelli) of Victor, Terri Willie (Jerry) of Cedar Rapids and Tracy Gryp of Cedar Rapids; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his stepfather, David Gryp; infant sister, Robin Collins; and grandparents, William and Rosella Boothby, Glen Collins, Ida Collins, and Isadore and Mary Gryp.

Even in death, Bob was able to help others through the gift of donation with the Iowa Donor Network.
