Warthen, Joyce Maxine
Joyce Maxine Warthen, 53, of Anamosa, died Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Crestridge Care Center in Maquoketa. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Anamosa, with the Rev. Ron Thatcher to officiate. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. Internment: Norwich Cemetery in rural Martelle.

Surviving are four brothers, Ron (Marilyn) Wright Warthen of Anamosa, Dewayne (Pam) Brink Warthen of Martelle, Allen (Barb) Price Warthen of Monticello and Stephen (Shirley) Warthen of Marshalltown; five sisters, Judy (Dale) Walker of Fairview, Jean Jenkins of Anamosa, Janet (Dick) Lynott of Hiawatha, Janice (Bob) Richmond of Marion and Jerrie (Ernie) Osterkamp of Anamosa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Joy and Joanne; and brother-in-law, Steve Jenkins.
Joyce was born Dec. 18, 1955, in Anamosa. She was the daughter of Wray and Gladys Allen Warthen. She worked at Options in Cedar Rapids. Joyce enjoyed watching television, especially Bob Barker; music; and dancing. She will be missed dearly by those who loved her.
