Barnts, Lillie May
Lillie May Barnts, 90, a resident of West Ridge Care Center, died there Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010. Due to the weather, her service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Harnish officiating. Friends may gather there after 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her nephew, David Strait of Louisville, Ky.; and special friends, Dewane and Doris Hughes, Janet Kearns and family, and Jerry and Elaine Rygr, all of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and two sisters.
Lillie May was born May 16, 1920, in Kankakee, Ill. She married Robert Barnts on May 29, 1954, in Gladbrook, Iowa. Robert died Dec. 30, 1999. She was employed for over 35 years at Wilson's.
Lillie's family and friends wish to thank West Ridge Care Center for their tender care of her.
