Philip A. King, 65, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Vinton, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Phillips Funeral
Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton, with Pastor Mike Ferguson officiating. Interment will be in Urbana Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Chapter 39-2 of Cedar Rapids or Cedar Valley Humane Society.
Philip was born Feb. 6, 1950, in Vinton, Iowa, to Jack and Mary King. He graduated from high school and worked as a self-employed construction worker. Philip enjoyed running his construction business, riding motorcycles and hanging out with his friends.
He is survived by his son, Brian (Jennifer) Hughes; his daughter, Trisha (Hayden) Bauer; and his two brothers, Peter and Russell King.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents.
