Rosalie Shada, 93, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at Pinicon Place, Anamosa, following an extended illness.
A celebration of Rosalie's life will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, at the United Methodist Church, Anamosa, with entombment in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. The Rev. Marty Schuhmacher will officiate at the service.

Surviving are two sons, Chuck (Candy) Shada and Ron Shada, both of Anamosa; three grandchildren, Tyler (Alycia) Shada, Kamryn Shada and Conrad Shada; and three great-grandsons, Zac, Wyatt and Crosby Shada.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eli; and three brothers, Lloyd, Richard and Melvin (Bud) Brickley.
Rosalie Ann Brickley was born Oct. 27, 1923, in Anamosa, Iowa, the daughter of Delbert and Blanche Merritt Brickley. Rosalie graduated from Anamosa Community Schools and Cedar Rapids Business College. She married Eli Shada on Nov. 21, 1945, in Chicago. The couple lived in Anamosa and Eli worked with her parents at the Anamosa Sale Barn. The couple purchased the business in 1968. Eli preceded her in death in 2003.
Rosalie was a member of the United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. She enjoyed her bridge club, flower gardening, and the Brickley and Shada family picnics at Wapsipinicon Park.
