Jones, Olive H.
Olive H. Jones, 92, of Jesup, died Friday, May 25, 2012, from complications of congestive heart failure. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, at American Lutheran Church, Jesup. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Independence. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at White Funeral Home, Jesup, and before services Tuesday at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Herbert C. Jones of Jesup; two daughters, Carla Hughes of Cedar Rapids and Harriet (Duncan) McClelland of Wilson, Wyo.; two sons, Dr. Merritt (Connie) Jones of Jesup and Andrew (Beth) Jones of Littleton, Colo.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
On Oct. 28, 1950, she was united in marriage to Dr. Herbert C. Jones, Des Moines. They made their home in Jesup, where Herb practiced dentistry and Olive was active in church and civic groups.
