Rockwell Collins will provide avionics maintenance for a new United States Air Force program to improve surveillance, intelligence and reconnaissance for combat forces.
A maintenance agreement with L-3 Communications for the Project Liberty program was announced on Wednesday, April 13. It calls for Rockwell Collins to provide avionics maintenance on 37 Air Force MC-12W aircraft – military versions of the Hawker Beechcraft super King Air 350. The aircraft utilize the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21TM Integrated Display System.
The contract is based on best practices Rockwell Collins developed for commercial airlines and business operators over many years, according to Scott Gunnufson, vice president and general manager of Rockwell Collins Services Solutions.
