MARGARET "MICKI" BAUMLER Anamosa Margaret "Micki" Baumler, 73, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at the Anamosa Care Center following a short illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Anamosa. Burial will be in Cass Cemetery, rural Anamosa. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. Margaret Amelia Kirschbaum was born June 14, 1944, in Bloomington, Wis., the daughter of Edward and Lena (Nies) Kirschbaum. She graduated from Bloomington High School in 1962. On May 25, 1968, she married Dale Baumler in Bloomington. She was employed as a driver for Jets Transportation in Anamosa for 25 years, retiring in 2014. Before that she had also worked at the Rainbow Supper Club, Anamosa, and at Square D in Cedar Rapids. Honoring her memory are her husband of 49 years, Dale of Anamosa; sons, Scott (Julie) Baumler, Lisbon, Dave Baumler, Marion, and Mark (Andrea) Baumler, Anamosa; a daughter, Cathy Fritz, Anamosa; grandchildren, Kate, Jenna and Megan, Emily Fritz, Hudson and Kaiden; brothers Pete (Delores), Jim (Toni), Joe (Jean) and Gene (Mary); sisters, Mary (Dave) Bausch, Norma Jean (Jim) Smith, Rose (Jerry) Trautsch and Darlene (Randy) Gutknecht; and a sister-in-law, Pam Kirschbaum. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jerry; and a son-in-law, Faron Fritz. Margaret loved to help others in any way she could. She also cherished spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Memorials in her name may be directed to the Citizens Savings Bank, Anamosa.
