Janan Fulwider, 66, of Anamosa, died Sunday Feb. 11, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Anamosa. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa.
Janan Margaret Iola Fleming was born Aug. 21, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Bernard and Fay (Bolton) Fleming. She graduated from Anamosa High School in 1972. On Feb. 10, 1984, she married Mike Fulwider in Anamosa. She ran Tiny Tot Daycare for several years, then she managed 2001 Video in Anamosa. When that closed, she worked at Ruffalo Cod in Anamosa and then chose to work part time at Walmart in Anamosa, before retiring in 2010.
She loved to play Hatchlings on Facebook, and made several friends from all around the world doing so. She also loved country music.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Fulwider, Anamosa; sons, Mick (Paula) Fulwider, Bode, and Spencer (Miranda Ries) Orcutt, Anamosa; daughters, Carly (Kevin) Meier, Humboldt, and Staci (Cris) Bartels, Monticello; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Buddy (Linda) Fleming, Marion, and Leslie Fleming, Don (Sharon) Fleming, Dennis (Karen) Fleming, all of Anamosa; a sister, Ada Snobl, Anamosa; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Katie, and cat, Bubba.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steve Orcutt Jr., in 2008; and her dog, Rocky.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
