Krambeer, Ronald N.
Ronald N. Krambeer, 72, of 4101 16th Ave. SW, Lot 49A, Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, in Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Presbyterian Church, Frankville, Iowa. Pastor Paul Snyder will officiate. Interment in the Frankville Village Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, and after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Carole; daughter, Mary (David) Viktora of Omaha, Neb.; five brothers, Gordon (Mary) of Hiawatha, Thomas (Darla) of Lawrence, Kan., Ned (Peg), Dennis (Peggy) and Jerry (Janice), all of Decorah; three sisters, Dolores Hughes of Frankville, Shirley (Homer) Evert of New Hampshire, and Nona (Wayne) Stone of Lansing; brother-in-law, Jerry Anderson of Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathleen Sproston-Hooper; three great-grandchildren, Adrienna Schwengels, Riley Sproston and Damani Viktora; son-in-law, Ben Sproston Jr.; brother, Larry; nephew, Brian; and brother-in-law, Dick Hughes.
Ronald was born Feb. 3, 1937, in rural Clayton County, Iowa. He married Carole Anderson on July 31, 1968. He was employed as a roofer for Cedar Service Company for over 30 years. He had been a member of the Frankville volunteer fire department and had drilled water wells. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, dancing and especially spending time with his family.
A memorial fund has been established.
