Juull, Joan Barbara

Joan Barbara Juull died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Cottage Grove Health Center.

She was born on Jan. 23, 1932, in Chicago, the daughter of Raymond and Hazel Hansen.

She is survived by daughter, Kathy (Ron) Hughes of Everett, Wash.; sons, Kevin Juull of Salt Lake City, Utah and Kelly Juull of Des Moines; grandsons, Michael Hughes of Cedar Rapids,; Steven Hughes of Madison, Wis., and Jeremy Juull of Des Moines; and great-grandsons, Cody Spears, Jackson Hughes and Kaleb Juull.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; granddaughter, Jaime; brother, Rolland; and her parents.

She was married Sept. 1953 in Chicago, and lived in central Illinois before moving to Grinnell in 1966. She relocated to Cedar Rapids in 1977 and retired from the Cedar Rapids school district working at Erskine and Johnson Schools. She enjoyed her work with children, travel and collecting unique jewelry.

Please join the family in a celebration of Joan's Life in Sedlacek Hall at Cottage Grove Place from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cedar Rapids Schools foundation.
