Norma Grace Thomas, 90, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at the Anamosa Care Center following a short illness.
Norma Grace Hughes was born Nov. 10, 1927, in Morley, Iowa, the daughter of Otho and Jennie (Sams) Hughes. On Jan. 16, 1946, she married Everitt Leroy Thomas in Monticello, Iowa.
She is survived by five children, William (Cindy) Thomas, Sandra (John Dirks) Newhard, Robert Thomas, Edward Thomas and Theresa (Danny) Young; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everitt; two sons, Everitt Jr. and Boyd Leslie; two brothers, Ivan and Marvin Hughes; two sisters, Leone and Lucille Hughes; and one grandchild, Amber Thomas Cudahy.
Per her wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be at a later date in Green Cemetery, Morley.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
