James Tucker, 62, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa, following a sudden illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 Thursday morning, Dec. 31, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
Monticello, with interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will start with the parish vigil service at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, and continue until 7 p.m. Visitation will resume at Sacred Heart Church after 9:30 Thursday morning.

Surviving are his wife, Susan of Monticello; a daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Rose, North Liberty; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Nicholas; his mother, Doris Tucker, Manchester; two brothers, Jerry (Joyce), Dyersville, and Dick (Mary Kaye), Manchester; mother-in-law, Shirley Steuri, Earlville; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Patricia Steuri of Earlville, Diane (Mike) Russell of Kirkland, Wash., Steve (Wanda) Steuri of Monticello, Julie Steuri of Dubuque and Kathy (Jamey) Dirks of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheryl; and his father, Joseph.
James Edward Tucker was born Nov. 20, 1953, at John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Doris Loecke Tucker. Jim attended Sacred Heart Grade School in Monticello and completed his education at the Edgewood Colesburg Schools, graduating with the class of 1972. He went to work for Bradco in Delhi. Jim and Susan Steuri were married at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manchester, on July 6, 1974. The couple lived in Manchester for several years before moving to Monticello in 1976.
Jim worked for Steuri Farm Automation in Earlville and later for Steve Ehrishman Tree Service in Monticello. He was one of the founding members of the Monticello Eagles Club, and at his death was overseeing daily operations of the club.
He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren, taking trips with Sue and his brother on the motorcycle and watching the Cubs and Hawkeyes.
