Walker, Dora Evelyn
Dora Evelyn Walker, 96, of Washington, Iowa, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at All-American Care Center in Washington following a lengthy illness. Celebration of life services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Jones & Eden Funeral Home, with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation begins at noon Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington.
Dora is survived by her daughter, Judith Ann Bodkins of Washington, Iowa; four grandchildren, Wesley George Bodkins of Colorado, Leslie Joanne Alexander and husband Mike of Colorado, Barbara Jane Bodkins of Delta, Iowa, and Matthew James Bodkins of Washington, Iowa; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Virginia “Ginger” Hobday of California; and brother, James Dunbar and wife Jean of Brighton, Iowa.
A memorial has been established to the Alzheimer's Association.
