Feb. 3, 2015 8:05 pm
A 19-year-old Fairfax man was sentenced last week to 10 years in prison and probation time for sexually abusing two 13-year-old girls and a 14-year-old girl in Linn and Benton counties.
Isaac David Hall, who was 17 at the time of the offense, pleaded guilty in August to two counts of third-degree sexual abuse in Linn County. He admitted to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and having a consensual sex act with a 13-year-old girl, both on Jan. 11, 2013, in Marion.
Hall also previously pleaded guilty in Benton County District Court to one count of third-degree sexual abuse. Hall admitted to having consensual sex with a different 13-year-old girl on Jan. 6, 2013.
Sixth Judicial District Judge Robert Sosalla on Friday sentenced Hall to 10 years in prison for the sexual abuse of the 14-year-old. He gave Hall a deferred judgment on the sexual abuse charges involving the 13-year-old girls, ordering him to five years' probation after he's released.
The 14-year-old victim and her father requested prison time in victim impact statements, and the two 13-year-olds asked the court to give Hall probation.
Hall also will be on special lifetime parole because of the sexual nature of the offenses and will have to register as a sex offender for life.
Another defendant in the Linn County case, Justin M. Purcell, 18, who was 16 at the time, of Walford, also is accused of sexually assaulting the 14-year-old girl that day.
Purcell has had two mistrials, and his retrial is set for March 30.
