Cavin, James Gilbert 'Jim'

James Gilbert “Jim” Cavin, 53, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn., following a lengthy illness. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 8, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington, with Father Troy Richmond officiating. Visitation will be held at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday and from 3:30 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 4 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with prayer services beginning at 7:30 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Cavin of Washington; daughter, Heather Cavin of Washington; daughter, Brittany Cavin and fiance Ray Williams of Dickinson, N.C.; daughter, Meredith Runge and husband Aaron of Coralville; son, Michael Cavin and fiancé Rosalind Roberts of Ainsworth; mother, Ethel Hendrickson and stepfather Don of Washington; sister, Lavonne Van Horn and husband Paul of Aurora, Ohio; sister, Loretta Boshart and husband Ed of Carlsbad, Calif.; brother, Mark Cavin and wife Lori of Ainsworth; brother, Larry Cavin and wife Deanna of Durant; brother, Daniel Cavin and wife Julie of Victor; brother, Andrew Cavin and wife Ina of Independence, Mo.; stepbrother, Michael Hendrickson and wife Karen of North Liberty; and stepbrother, Timothy Hendrickson of Woodbridge, Va. Jim is also survived by his father- and mother-in-law, Dennis and Lois Greiner of West Chester; sister-in-law, Becky Wilson and husband Blake of Fredricksburg, Va.; sister-in-law, Nancy Wilson and husband James of Kansas City, Kan.; and brother-in-law, Dean Greiner of West Chester.
