Godwin, James H. 'Jim'
James H. “Jim” Godwin, 72, of Washington, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at his residence following a lingering illness. Mass of the Resurrection will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at St. James Catholic Church, with Father Troy Richmond officiating. Visitation will begin noon Tuesday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Following a luncheon at the K.C. Hall, interment will take place at Memory Gardens in Iowa City.
Jim is survived by his wife, Joan Godwin of Washington; brother-in-law, Don Grimm of Atalissa; niece, Kimberly Dickey of Cedar Rapids; nephew, Kevin Grimm of Iowa City; and five great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorials have been established for Washington County Hospice or Friends of Lake Darling.
