Mott, Eloise Faye
Eloise Faye Mott, 95, formerly of Moline, Ill., died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Avonlea Cottage in Milan, Ill. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, with visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport, Iowa.
Eloise was born in Davenport, Iowa, on March 11, 1915, to Henry and Olga (Rehder) Jungjohann. She graduated from Davenport High School in 1932. She married Woodrow Mott, who preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 1974.
After raising her five children, Eloise worked for J.C. Penney Co. in Moline for 26 years. She enjoyed sewing, needlework, bowling, travel, and swimming. She was a member of First Christian Church in Moline.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen (John) Huggins of Florida; sons, Gary (Lynne) Mott of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Dale (Mary) Mott of Sherrard, Ill., and Stuart (Nancy) Mott of Fulton, Mo.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Verne Jungjohann; and a son, Kent Mott.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Avonlea Cottage and Genesis Hospice for all of the loving care given to their mother.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given in her name to the Alzheimer's Association or First Christian Church in Moline.
