Bronwen M. Jones, 66, died Sunday, April 20, 2014, at her home in North Lib-erty. Family funeral services were Thursday, April 24, at Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Branch.
Bronwen was born Oct. 9, 1947, in Wausau, Wis., the daughter of James and Verna Nevinski Jones. She was a graduate of Wausau High School, class of 1965. She later received her bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin and had continued her education working on her master's degree.
She taught school in Australia for several years and had traveled the world extensively as she returned to the United States. She was also employed with Nabisco Co., working in Virginia before moving to Cedar Rapids. Most recently she was employed with GEICO and in Nordstrom's online fulfillment warehouse. On Aug. 1, 2000, she was united in marriage to Larry Perkins in Dubuque, Iowa.
She enjoyed walking, traveling, fishing and tennis.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Perkins of North Liberty; son, Dan (Beverly) Perkins, living in Connecticut; grandson, Nicholas Perkins; three sisters, Nancy (David) Sefton, of Canton, Minn., Karla (Glenn) Smith of East Bethel, Minn., and Lynnette (Tom Grzadzielewski) Jones of Appleton, Wis.; brother, Tom (Sue) Jones of Madison, Wis.; and nieces and nephews, Scott Sefton, Jesse Smith, Greg Smith, Sarah Jones, Alex Jones, Megan Jones and Nicholas Grzadzielewski.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jim.
