Dammeier, Darlene Emily
Funeral services for Darlene Emily Dammeier, 75, of Bettendorf, formerly of Bennett, who died Thursday, May 19, 2011, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 23, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with Pastor Tim Damour-Paul officiating. Burial will follow in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Darlene was born March 20, 1936, in Davenport, Iowa. She was the daughter of Fred and Minnie (Ramm) Edler. She was a 1954 graduate of Bennett High School. On May 15, 1960, Darlene was united in marriage to Paul R. Dammeier.
Darlene was employed at Osco Drug and Petersen Harned Von Maur in Bettendorf. She was a member of the Davenport Faith United Church of Christ and the Tipton VFW Auxiliary. She also organized a breast cancer support group and was involved with Reach for Recovery.
Darlene was loved and survived by her husband, Paul Dammeier of Bettendorf; son, Jerry (Kris) Dammeier of Davenport; stepsisters, Florence (LeRoy) Reedy of Davenport and Ethel Henning of Eldridge; and stepbrother, Howard Bouchaute of New Liberty.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers-in-law, Helmut and Rudy.
