SHIRLEY WULF Wilton Shirley Maxine Fick Wulf, 86, of Davenport, formerly of rural Wilton, passed away, Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at The Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at the mortuary. Burial will be in Allen's Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the German American Heritage Center in Davenport. Online condolences may be left at www.runge mortuary.com. She was born Feb. 1, 1929, to Adolph and Ella (Siebke) Fick in DeWitt, Iowa. She married Charles W. Wulf on June 22, 1947, in Davenport. Shirley was employed for 26 years for the Von Maur Store, retiring in 1992. She had many interests and hobbies including entering county fairs, where she won many ribbons and awards. She was a member of the Durant Royal Neighbors, Walcott Pythian Sisters, Cedar County Historical Society, Loyal Order of the Moose Club, Plus 60 Club, Scott County Pioneer Settlers, Golden Wedding Anniversary Club, American/Schleswig Holstein Heritage Society, Durant Senior Citizens Club and the Von Maur and Caterpillar Retiree's Club. Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Charles; daughter, Beverly (Jerry) Rice; son, William (Helen) Wulf; grandsons: David (Robin) Jacobsen, Michael Jacobsen, Jerad "Scott" (Christine) Rice, Eric Wulf and Kyle Wulf; one great-granddaughter, Roxanne Jacobsen; great-grandsons, Zachery (Kellsey) Jacobsen and Dorian Jacobsen; one great-great-grandson; one great-great-granddaughter; four stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; brother, Warren (Elaine) Fick; and many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Gordon (Mary) Wulf, who was like an additional son to Shirley. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Dwight and John Fick. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Manor Care (Utica Ridge) and the nurses at Genesis East and Select Specialty Hospitals for making her stays as comfortable as possible!
