LANSING, Mich. — Randy LeBlanc and Nick Anderson combined for a seven-hit shutout in the Cedar Rapids Kernels' 3-0 win Tuesday morning over the Lansing Lugnuts at Cooley Law School Stadium.
LeBlanc went the first seven innings, giving up seven hits but walking none and striking out five. He improved his record to 3-2 and his earned run average to 1.16.
Anderson notched his first save with two perfect relief innings, striking out three. The Kernels are 14-11.
Cedar Rapids received a solo home run in the seventh inning from A.J. Murray to break a scoreless tie. Murray and LaMonte Wade had RBI hits in the ninth for the final margin.
The teams conclude their three-game series Wednesday night.
