Williams, Edna
Edna Williams, 80, of Davenport, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011, at her home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4929 N. Wisconsin Ave., Davenport, where the family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. to service time Saturday. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service in Davenport is assisting family with arrangements.
Edna Ione Christenson was born Jan. 6, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Nels and Mary (Drummond) Christenson. She married Robert Williams in 1953 in Cedar Rapids; they were later divorced. Edna worked as a tailor in the Quad City area for many years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Davenport. She was also a member of CASI.
She enjoyed reading, working puzzles and watching John Wayne movies. Her family and faith were the most important things in her life.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Rick) Lamp of Davenport, Sheri (Blair) Nash of Roseburg, Ore., and Lisa (Brent) Moore of Provo, Utah, son, Kevin (Punkin) Williams of Paris, Texas; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Julie Kennedy; grandson, Brian Nash; brothers, Harold, Melvin and Don; and sisters, Nellie Christenson, Ruth Bates, Ethel Songer and Genevieve Hintz.
