Sandra E. Beguhn, 71, of Davenport, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday,
July 5, at The Runge
Mortuary. Visitation will be from noon until services Saturday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church in Davenport or the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.

Sandra was born Nov. 3, 1942, in Kirksville, Mo., the daughter of Charles and Loeta (Payton) Funk. She was united in marriage to Lynn L. Beguhn on June 29, 1963. She was an accomplished and award winning poet, who was a devoted daughter, wife and mother, along with a great friend to many. She was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She loved to travel with her family and was active in the PTA, where she served as president and also was a leader for the Girl and Boy Scouts.
Those left to honor her memory include her loving husband of 51 years, Lynn; son, John (Andrea) Beguhn, Cedar Rapids; daughter, Kelly Simpson, Davenport; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Bernie
Bellman.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
