Seltrecht, Dorothy 'Dottie'
Funeral services for Dorothy “Dottie” Seltrecht, 77, of Vero Beach, Fla., formerly of Davenport, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Davenport. The family will greet friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in Davenport. Interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Dottie died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, in Vero Beach following a brief illness.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn; and children, David Michael (Janice) “Jana” York, Catherine Ann “Sis” (Carlo) Nicoletto, both of Davenport. and Melvin Michael “Mike” York Jr. (Robert Beth) of Vero Beach, Fla.; stepchildren, Marshall (Thanya) Seltrecht of Albia, SueAnn Hunt, Billie Jo (Joe) Cody, both of Vinton, Monica (Dan) Friedman of Belle Plaine, and Chrissy (Lynn) Lafler of VanHorne; three sisters, Doris, Irene and Fran; a brother, Fred; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and her unofficial adopted daughters, Kathy Cheek and Suellen Gibbs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death a brother, Russell; sisters, Alice and Elsie; a son-in-law, Linwood Hunt; and great-grandson, Paul Smith Jr.
Memorials can be made to the VNA Hospice House, 901 37th St., Vero Beach, FL 32960.
